From time to time, the fuel price in Malaysia is increasing and this matter has affected a lot of its citizen especially those who are using vehicles on the road.
In my opinion, there are several factors that contribute to the increase in fuel prices. One of them is due to the unstable global crude oil price. Crude oil is one of the natural resources that have a very high demand from consumers over the world because it is not easjy to be obtained and processed. Another reason that affected the pricing of fuel is government taxes. Most of the countries that depend heavily on the usage of petrol and gasoline will impose several amount of taxes to the usage of this combustion resources, .including sales revenue, oil inspection and storage tank fees. In addition, natural disaster and bad weather condition is another common reason for the increase in petrol prices. For example, a heavy storm at the mining site for petroleum resource may cause the entire mining process interrupted and consequently the amount of petroleum that can be produced at the site during that time will becomes limited.
In order to overcome or at least to adapt with the fuel increase issue in Malaysia, there are several action can be taken. First of all, most of the companies involve in providing fuel resources should invest more on other type of energy resources in order to overcome the issue. Research should be conducted by exploring on another resources of combustion material such as wind and kinetic energy sources. Furthermore, government of the country should reduce the amount of taxes imposed on petroleum and gasoline. They also could introduce a more environmental friendly alternative by importing more hybrid cars into the country. This type of car depends on electrical energy in order to move, thus reducing the consumption of fuel. Last but not least, citizens of the country also may play their role in overcoming this issue by using public transport such as buses. They may also practice sharing their vehicles while going to workplace and other destination.
In a nutshell, the increase of fuel prices in Malaysia is still not as worse as at the other countries. This is because the prices are still affordable and are not too expensive unlike in other country due to the fact that Malaysia is one of the major countries that have raw petroleum fuel resources. Drastic action also should be taken by people of the country so that the problem will not get worsened in the future.
